CONDITIONS WE CAN HELP WITH...
GlaucomaGlaucoma refers to increased pressure within the eye. The normal intraocular pressure range is 10 to 21 mm Hg. Glaucoma can be subcategorized into:
• Acute Glaucoma which is categorized by increased pressure within the eye, usually on one side. Severe throbbing pain in the eye with blurred vision. The pupil may be fixed and dilated. Nausea and vomiting is common.
• Chronic Glaucoma which is where there is a persisted long term raise in the pressure within the eye. Gradual loss of peripheral vision results in tunnel vision.
The cause of glaucoma appears to be an abnormality in the composition of the supportive structures of the eye. Treatment of both acute and chronic glaucoma's need to be based around reducing intraocular pressure and improving the collagen metabolism within the eye. There are many vitamins, minerals and compounds that will address these targets in order to prevent the development of this disease.
