CONDITIONS WE CAN HELP WITH...

Stress

Stress is a really common complaint nowadays with our constantly busy lives meaning that there are a great many people out there that are feeling tired, lacking in motivation, can't sleep and then can't get up in the mornings, are apathetic, have an inability to concentrate and are generally exhausted.

The human body is designed to cope with stress so that we can get ourselves out of danger but we are not designed to live in a constant state of stress. The stress hormones cortisol and DHEA, produced by the adrenal glands, are supposed to work in balance with each other but in cases where people are stressed the hormone cortisol is raised while levels of DHEA are low. Low levels of DHEA have been associated with Alzheimer's disease, cancer, heart disease, auto-immune disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes, obesity and decreased cognitive function as well as generally increasing the onset of aging.

There are many ways that your Nutrition Mission nutritional therapist can help you to reduce your stress levels and the way that you deal with perceived stressful situations. Your treatment plan will also recommend a diet that will provide you with all of the nutrients that your body needs in order to cope with, and repair the damage, made by the extra stress on the body while working to get these stress hormones back into balance.
Back
I visited Nutrition Mission for both myself and my 3yr old daughter. I suffer with an arthritic hip and my daughter with eczema. Following a consultation with the nutritional therapist, they recommended supplements for us to take along with some dietary changes. After a couple of weeks there was a remarkable difference in both of us. Katie's legs were clear of her eczema and my hip virtually pain free! It is now some months since first seeing Nutrition Mission. Katie's legs remain clear and even during this very cold spell I am not suffering at all! I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nutrition Mission for all their help and can totally recommend nutritional therapy to all!
