A deficiency or excess of thyroid hormone can affect every cell within the body. A deficiency of thyroid hormone may be due to defective hormone synthesis or to lack of stimulation by the pituitary gland. Since thyroid hormones affect every cell in the body, a deficiency will usually result in a large number of signs and symptoms.
There are various ways to support the thyroid gland through intake of key nutrients and through supporting the whole body. At Nutrition Mission, we will work with you to support your thyroid gland and holistically to support your whole body.
