CONDITIONS WE CAN HELP WITH...
MigrainesMigraine headaches are caused by excessive dilation of blood vessels in the head. Although some migraines come on without warning, many sufferers have warning symptoms, often referred to as auras. In migraine headaches, the pain is characterised as a throbbing or pounding sharp pain.
The first step in treating migraine headache is identifying the cause - foods such as chocolate, cheese, beer and wine precipitate migraine attacks in many people as they contain histamines and/or other compounds that can trigger migraines by causing blood vessels to expand. A reduction or the elimination of other allergenic food may greatly reduce symptoms. Other triggers include low serotonin levels, alcohol, stress, hormonal changes, too little or too much sleep, muscle tension and eyestrain.
Together we can work towards highlighting and eliminating triggers, using food as your medicine to reduce these debilitating headaches.
